Seafood has been at the heart of our diet for millennia. Fisheries and aquaculture employs more than 500 million people all over the world, and almost half of the world’s population relies on seafood as their primary source of protein.
Moreover, seafood is not only part of countless cultures’ culinary identities, it also plays an important role in numerous religious ceremonies and local traditions.
Tradition and history now intersect with technology and modern techniques, transforming an industry and the life of billions of people.
At Saga Seafood, we are inspired by Iceland’s fishing expertise, its history and its culture.
Icelandic fishing is a way of life, a saga started with the Island’s first settlers, fighting for their own survival, and continued to this day by the whole nation, fighting to manage and preserve marine resources and the Island’s ecosystem.
Together with our partners and suppliers in Iceland, we are committed to guaranteeing clean and sustainable products of uncompromising quality. We hope to share our passion for seafood and to share Iceland’s gifts of nature with the culinary teams and seafood lovers of Hong Kong.
